Early Alpha 2013 – Trip Update Day 13

Written by Luke Whitcraft; Mate

Today was a brilliant day as the sun rose upon the boats of the Alpha fleet. Students awoke in a hurry and gathered themselves to de-moor and head over to Long Bay. As they anchored, they prepared their boat colors and headed to shore for Beach Olympics. The events were tug of war, dizzy fender, bury your captain, synchronized swimming, and trash pickup! When the afternoon of playful rivalry was through, the students prepped their last lunch together and headed over to Hodges Creek Marina for their final docking. After some spectacular docking, the students had a chance for showers on land. Everyone pitched in on dinner, whipped up some hot dogs for the last meal, then the students were given extra time for nightly socializing and goodbyes. Tomorrow morning would come early as all would have to head their separate ways.
