The fleet mixed it up a bit today. Bravo students were rearranged into two boats and began our sail to Mountain Point in Virgin Gorda in the morning, while the Charlie divers loaded onto the third boat to join them in the afternoon. The morning ran like well oiled clockwork. Early wake-up, breakfast and dive preparation proceeded as planned. Charlie went out for morning dives before following Bravo to Mountain Point. Bravo cohorts water sported until their arrival. Hayes went wakeboarding for the second time ever. Murrie and Annie got rescue certified. Chris went free diving to 35 feet to check the anchor was set upon our arrival. Jackson, Jackie, Reagan and Frances all said that sailing with a new crew was the highlight of their day.
After lunch, the students participated in a coral watch lesson and spent an hour identifying and describing coral while also duck diving for rubbish. Ford recorded four different soft corals. Ben went free adiving to 35 feet during the watch. Wow! Also, Dante saw a gargantuan barracuda.
All in all the day was a grand success with tomorrow always promising to be the same.
