Bravo 2 & Charlie 2 2015 – Day 3

The crew of Galilee awoke ahead of schedule this morning very excited about the day ahead. Michael was one of the first awake and he was able to enjoy the sunrise over the channel islands from the bow of the boat. After breakfast and breakfast clean, divers geared up and went to meet the dive boat. Oliver is working on his Peak Performance Buoyancy specialty and hovered for 90 seconds while diving! Mitchell was lucky enough to spot a sleeping nurse shark on his dive.
Non-divers spent the morning doing water sports such as tubing and wake boading, as well as sailing on small boats. Thomas and Braeden went out on Opal Bella, a 26’ keelboat, for an introductory sail and to begin their Basic Keelboat certification work. After sailing, both boys hopped on the wakeboard! Meanwhile, Karina enjoyed stand up paddle boarding around Cooper Island Beach Club before going tubing with people from other boats in our fleet.
Everyone headed back to their boats for a pasta salad lunch before preparing to depart for the next destination. During today’s downwind sail to Great Harbour, Peter Island, Mia manned the helm expertly. Dylan then took over for the mooring ball pickup once we arrived to Great Harbour. After securing the mooring ball, shower time commenced! Amanda was in charge of dinner this evening and cooked up a delicious meal of honey barbeque chicken and potatoes for the whole boat. After dinner clean up we had a boat meeting and were ready to relax on board before bed.
