The day began when Kev and Alyssa motored us to The Baths while we were still sleeping. We woke up to the beautiful sights of some of mother nature’s finest offerings. After a delicious breakfast, we swam to shore from the boat and began our hike around the boulders. It was really interesting and Perry told us a lot about the history of Virgin Gorda, and how the boulders were formed hundreds of thousands of years ago. We explored the naturally formed caves then swam round to Jump Rock, where we could climb up one of the boulders and jump into the ocean. It was a lot of fun and Selena, Chloe, James, Nicole, Nicole, Sophia and Harry did some awesome jumps.
We returned to the boat and began the process of deep cleaning Galilee. It was tough but we worked really well together. We then stopped for lunch which Cailey and Louisa prepared. When everything was done, we dropped the ball for the final time and set sail for Hodges Creek Marina. It was a surreal experience, and Jerko, James and Spencer all had a final go at the helm. We successfully docked Galilee and the rest of the afternoon was spent writing airplane letters to each other and finishing packing.
We had our final dinner together and then had a fleet wide meeting on the docks. We had prepared skits, then received awards from the different events from the program. Venture won the award for Olympics and Best Chili Theme, but we won for Best Chili Taste! It was a great way to end the program. Returning to the boats for the last time was a strange feeling, and we all hung out together for one last final boat meeting.
