Trellis Bay to Little Harbor, Peter Island
Today, one of our Open Water divers, Will, woke up early in the morning to get ready for a dive. Henry, our Discover Scuba Diving student, also got to go for a dive and he was super excited about it. The rest of our students woke up, had breakfast, and went ashore for a little bit to explore Aragorn’s local art studio. We headed back to boats, dropped the ball, and went for a long sail from Trellis Bay to Little Harbor, Peter Island. Andrew, our skipper of the day, led us through several jibes and did an awesome job holding us on course for the whole downwind sail.
Once we got to Little Harbor, Jen, our Program Director, and Ish, our Fleet Captain, helped us med anchor our boat. Abbey operated the windlass, Meredith attached the snub line, and Addie spotted. Once our anchor was set, we had lunch, and our fun divers, Meredith and Andrew, left to go for a dive. The rest of us went turtling for a little bit and snorkeled around. Although we didn’t catch any turtles, everyone enjoyed the glassy waters of Little Harbor. Addie went wake boarding for a bit, while the rest of us went on Poparazzi! Meredith, Grace, and Henry went for a few rounds before Grace fell off. Then we swapped out with Tyler, Sara, and Will. It was a blast of an afternoon!
Tonight was a special night on fleet – Chili Cook Off! Spyglass’ theme was American Ninja Warriors. The visiting Chilean judges came aboard and had to complete an obstacle course. Addie and Henry were the show hosts, and Meredith demonstrated how to complete every challenge. Once the Chileans finished the course and hit the big red button, they sat down to delicious servings of chili and garlic bread, made by Will and Tyler. The night was a successful one, and we were all wiped out by the end of the day, so we headed to bed early after a great day.
